Project description:
SMART project has been co-financed by the European Commission through the 2006 Intelligent Energy Europe Programme (IEE). There are seven partners on project: Province of Cremona - Italy (coordinator); CESI RICERCA SPA - Italy; University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture - Croatia; Karlovac county - Croatia; Norwegian University of Science and Technology - Norway; Regional Secretariat of Attica - Greece and Energieagentur Waldviertel - Austria.

Main objective is to give clear contributions to pull down these non-technological barriers, as helpful tools for European, national, regional and local authority decision-makers for increasing the implementation of small-scale hydro electricity plants on their own territory.
The duration of the project is 3 years, from 2008 to 2010. The kick of workshop was held in Cremona in November 2007. The next project workshop will be held in Karlovac, at 30th September and 1st October 2008.
