Energy efficient public lighting for cities Klanjec and Zapresic and municipalities Pusca, Krasic and Marija Gorica

Cities and municipalities of northwest Croatia have initiated projects to modernize public lighting. Projects are coordinated by the Administrative Departments of cities and municipalities with the expert and advisory help of North-West Croatia Regional Energy Agency.

Project goals:

• Reduction of electric energy consumption and increase of energy efficiency;
• Increase of average illumination, elimination of light pollution and reduction of maintenance costs;
• Increase of safety of traffic participants and life quality for residents in the local government area.

Activities within the project:

• Coordination between the city and the designer;
• Harmonization of the technical solution according to the criteria of energy efficiency and environment protection;
• Participation in the selection of contractors;
• Production of reports on achieved energy savings.
