Efficient energy management in the City of Zaprešić public buildings
Development and implementation of continuous and systematic energy management model in the city of Zaprešić public buildings is the first step to a continuous reduction in consumption of all forms of energy, where creating and updating the registry of public institution buildings and detailed energy audits are priorities.
Project was successfully implemented by the North-West Croatia Regional Energy Agency in the period of 02.04.2009. till 02.04.2010.
Project goals:
- Realization of direct financial savings arising from the use of the registry of public buildings and appliance of energy audits results;
- Complete control over the energy situation in all Zaprešić city public buildings;
- Increased awareness and participation of citizens in the energy efficiency projects;
- Promotion of Zaprešić as an energy efficient and successful city as an example to other cities in Croatia.
Activities within the project:
- Creating and updating the registry of public buildings;
- Implementation of energy management information system that will continuously monitor the data about the energy characteristics of buildings owned by the city;
- Preparation and implementation of a detailed energy audits in 10 public buildings with identification of specific energy efficiency measures;
- Investment studies for 10 public buildings owned by the city;
- Preparation and production of Display posters with energy indicators of energy and water consumption and CO2 emission;
- Promotional and informative activities - workshops, public forums, educational materials and other.
