The sustainable building - Our future
At the HOLCIM tender for sponsorships in 2008, the North West Croatia
Regional Energy Agency was selected to develop the project Sustainable Building
- our Future.
Project goals:
- Education of children, teachers and parents regarding the significance and advantage of sustainable building and energy efficiency;
- Systematic campaigns to raise awareness of teachers and parents regarding sustainable development;
- Creation of a new guided teaching process;
- Improving knowledge and awareness of general population.
Activities within the project:
- Informative lectures for teachers;
- Preparation of info brochures about sustainable building for school children;
- Educational subject (2 school hours) for students of secondary schools in Jastrebarsko, Karlovac and Zabok; Study tour for students and teachers;
- Interschool championship (quiz) about sustainable building and energy efficiency;
- Questionnaire for parents with an info brochure;
- Award ceremony for the winning school and students;
- Promotional media campaign.
